sherwin
Hey Guys, Would appreciate you opinion on this. I have Dead Bonsai plant (partners fault )about 25-30cm in height. its been dead for a few months now.. And I though it would look pretty cool in my Tropical aquarium, it still has leaves on it that I would be removing. I was wondering if it was ok to put in the Aquarium, I will boil it and will probable tie some java moss on to it to give it a 2nd life as a tree 8) Would it be ok or will it leech something onto the water that is bad for the fish?? tHEcONCH
I don't think that is a very good idea - it will almost certainly still leach large amounts of organic compounds as it rots away which will cause all sorts of other problems. sherwin
Oh really  even after boiling it?
tHEcONCH
Especially after boiling it - you'll just speed up the decomp doing that (in fact I wouldn't be suprised if it disintegrates at that stage). You could try it and see, but don't be suprised if it goes horribly wrong
