Ki-Saber
I am really keen on having some of my livebearer fish produce babies. I have a 200 leiter tank and quite a bit of plant cover. However I am afraid that my fish are eating the babies. I have about 6 guppies, 5 swordtails 3 emperor tetras, and three small corries. What can I do to get them to breed and to get any of the babies to survive. Thanks.
ryanjury
If you want guppy babies to survive then stick the guppies in their own tank with plants.. Or remove the swords and emperor tetras, they will be eating the babies..
imsweet
Sorry for thread-jacking. I was wondering where all my guppy fry were going.-----> Into the swordtails mouths.

Keri Anne
if you have lots of floating plant at the top you'll have a better survival rate.
Guest
If you have platys the fry hang around the bottom, but if you have guppies the fry go towards the top. Also guppy fry grow alot faster than platy fry.
ryanjury
I had a fully planted tank with swords in it and nothing survived they're pretty good hunters as would be the barbs
mitzy
You could always use a breeding cage/net that way you would have babies. I think the net is better more room for fish to swim around.
