adieka
We have 4 Apple snails and 3 rather large Goldfish in our tank. We have found it hard to keep up plant supplies as the fish and snails go nuts and eat everything we put in within a very short space of time. We tried putting some lettuce in our tank the other week and they all demolished the large leaf in about 8 hours. Is lettuce bad for our lovely wet pets??? We keep giving it to them without noticing any fishy issues but I just wanted to check that a heap of lettuce will is not bad for them. Thanks in advance for any advice that you all have

Scuba Sam
I always wonder about sprays on veges where I don't know the grower - is washing enough? I would love to buy courgettes etc from the supermarket and give them but too nervous - advice please? Can I just wash lettuce? If so I will try tonight!! adieka
I buy my veges from an organic market so we just wash it. When I worked in restaurants we use to soak our lettuce in salted water to get rid of any bugs and then wash it again in fresh water. :bounce:

AMAZONIAN
Hi All I know its expensive at certain times of the year, but Zuchinni is excellent and is also useful for Molly's if you have them.
