David R
I've got a steel stand coming for my 150x70x60 tank, I'm going to put a piece of ply on top between the stand and the polystyrene, what thickness should I go for? Obviously thicker is better, but when does it become excessive? Also, what thickness polystyrene do I need?
alanmin4304
I just bought a bit for one of mine and the minimum they wanted to supply was 15mm. I would say 10 or 15mm.

If there is large gaps between supports then the ply becomes the support & a thick enough ply to support the weight is required. i not sure how to calculate the weight between the supports but it would be alot i would think.
