wasp
You mean with no rock? Don't think anyone in NZ has, but no reason for it not to work provided there is enough caulerpa to deal effectively with the nutrients.
Gannet
im not sure, i gess you could have live rock as well, i gess it would look like a planted tank you get in FW but with clowns or sumthng
wasp
Oh you mean fish in the same tank with the mud? No, won't work. The mud is easily stirred up, with fish in there it would be a mess.

tangtastic
Would probably work with sea horses since they prefer low flow and there would be plenty of hold points for them on the algae.
reef
You should only use the MM in a sump. the mud is very fine so it will not be good for the fish if it gets in their gills. The idea behind the mud system is that the algae will grow and use nitrate ammonia/ phostphate etc, so it exports nutrients a bit like a skimmer.
