Dixon1990
How many cardinals do you need to breed them? I have a $20 animates voucher i could use if you can breed them with a trio.
ryanjury
A pair I guess, the methods I have seem use multiple pairs each pair in a separate tank to guarantee at least one pair breed's.. Apparently its important to get young fish as the females ovaries or something harden and they don't produce eggs or something like that, haven't done it myself so don't really know. Dixon1990
I will go get a few of them soon then. What is the most reliable way to sex them?
coelacanth
best to breed them as a pair, but they are not easy (hence their price tag in the shops). You might be better off starting with neons or something simpler, and move on to cardinals when you have more experience

ryanjury
I have heard most tetra's are just as much effort as cardinal's so why not give something descent a go?

alanmin4304
Cardinals are not as productive as neons and I have heard of people putting in a pair while spawnig neons.

Do you mean put a pair of cardinals in when neons are breeding so they breed together?
