Cricketman
quick question, since i dont have lights setup yet (on the top of my "to get" list) but i just walked into the room and turned the light on and looked at my tank and my SAE seems to have adopted a much lighter colour stripe than before... anyone else experienced this?? michael.qian
that's true, fish do go pale at night, but also if you have several, they can have little arguments with each other sometimes and the loser will often change into a lighter colour, only temporarily though. Cricketman
right, just thought it weird cos ive always found my molly darkens at night, good to know as he is a new fish, and i thought that it might be stress in the new tank, which i shall post pictures of later lol
Foxglove
Two of my SAEs lost their colour for about an hour or so while they had a little tiff - the others got involved too but didn't change colour - then they got their pecking order sorted and all were normal afterwards. Lovely fish!
