jn
Need to paint, anything I need to consider? I'd rather not move the tanks out completely. Is covering them good enough or are the fumes bad for them?
Caryl
We totally redecorated our lounge and re-carpeted with the tank in situ and had no problems whatsoever. Make sure the area is well ventilated. We used water based paint.
jn
Thanks Caryl. Just making sure Ventilation won't be a problem and will definitely be using water based paint. Now if only someone could give me some special advice on how to making painting fun....
me love fishy
We had our lounge painted and left the tank in the lounge, I just put towels over the bits of the tank where the air gets in, to try and filter out any nastys, didn't have any fish losses. to make painting fun, get someone else to do it for you

jn
Wrong kind of paint!!! UGH!!! I bet you weren't a very happy camper! I'll have to wait till this heat passes.. it's been about 30-35 here for the past several days! Not a good time to be wrapping my tank up in blankets! (paint would probably dry before it made it to the walls too!)
