Adrienne
Just a light moment today - I have been on the search for some Sterbai Cory for my new tank. Went into one of the shops up here today and spied what I thought was them, went through all the labels on all the tanks - nothing mentioned about these fish being in the shop. Enquired - fair enough the assistants said that the salesperson from the fish section had 'popped' out for lunch - due back in 20mins, but they could probably help me. Proceeded to inform me that the labels on the tanks were correct and the fish I was looking at was 'rare' and '$189'. They were fairly insistant they were correct but if I wanted to wait .... fifty five minutes later I happily walked out the shop with my 6 Sterbai Corys for a total of $54. Note: even then the salesperson wasn't sure if they were sterbai or leopard!!!!
Snowman
Their lack of knowledge can be good sometimes, went into a shop looking for a couple of Angelicus Loachs, found them with $28 price tag on them, check the other tanks and was wrapt to see some Botia Kubotai for $14 each LOL Same fish but half the price, so got 3. Adrienne
Yes, well friends have told me I should have said ' okay then, I'll have that one instead (pointing to the plecostomus that was in fact the $189 fish). But - I didn't want another fish I wanted the corys.
