tHEcONCH
Cut them with a fine tooth hacksaw blade (at least 32 teeth/inch) - I'd also recommend you mark where you want to cut with tape etc before you start so that you don't end up going skew-wiff and buggering it. Measure twice, cut once...

tHEcONCH
lol yea maybe still loads of bubbles in tank i think its a bit better tho It will settle down. You don't necessarily need a sharp hacksaw, just a fine toothed one. Normal (24tpi) ones grab in soft plastics and can end up being a bit difficult. Fmxmatt
Goto the warehouse and get em. A hacksaw blade is a hacksaw blade, and unless its got massive teeth, it'll cut thru plastic piece of piss. I had to do exactly the same mods with my MCE600
Fmxmatt
And bubbles will go away once the unit gets a bit of a slime coat going is what I found. Just beware of the skimmate smell and dont spill it on urself after a big night or you'll end up doing what I did

JoeBlog
A hacksaw blade is a hacksaw blade, and unless its got massive teeth, it'll cut thru plastic piece of piss. This is not exactly true. The bigger the teeth, the nastier the cut. You can get very fine toothed blades at the hobby shop that gives a very nice, clean cut. He spent all that money on a sweet skimmer. Why cheap out on a few cents and make it look all ghetto!?
