marbiol
Hi, I'm working on coral/algal symbiosis at Victoria University in Wellington and I'm trying to get hold of some Aiptasia anemones to work with. Aiptasia are useful as a model organism as they're much easier to experimentally manipulate than corals. If anyone in Wellington has any Aiptasia that they'd be able to pass off to me then I would be very grateful. I would also happily accept them from elsewhere in the country and would pay any shipping costs. Please contact me at [email protected] if you can help. Cheers, Dan. marbiol
Last time I pm'ed them they'd been doing some fairly successful fish based Aiptasia eradication so they didn't have anything left, but I will be giving them a shout... Guest Anonymous
Email'd. The people you got some off last time aren't really around. Pie's works a lot and Suphew is currently out of Wellington for an extended period. My tank sits at 26-29'C and I dose with rotifers and phytoplankton (Nano, Tet, Iso and Chaet) so they have no issue growing with everything else in my tank.
