fishfinder
Hi there, I would like to know if my jaguars, which at the moment are three months old and are silver with black blotches down the sides, with irregular small black spots on upper fins and tails. (i.e. rather dull colours, or is this just immaturity) Will they mature into the typical examples in the the TFH books which are far more striking and look alot like loepard spots with a more elongated body, groper like. Thanks Adrian :-?
Ira
Errr...No real way to know for sure. As long as they're ID'd right then they should grow up to be nice looking fish assuming they're in a good tank, well fed and not poorly bred. You want to know more definitely than that...I guess you'll have to visit your local church...
Midas
It sounds like they look like normal juvinile jaguar cichlids. They should colour up fine. I wouldn't worry, it just might take them a few months.
