Hi guys,

I'm thinking about redoing my tank and would like there to be a ground cover plant I am just wanting to know the best ground cover plant is. I would like it to grow fast, stay a nice green colour and not get any hight than 10cm.

It's going to have Clown loachs, Khulie loachs, Neons, Black widows, Corys, BNs and ottos. It's going to have sort of two levels though at the back it will be banked up with rocks and will be higher and the bottom level is going to have some sort of ground cover and a few other plants.

If you trim the leaves they usually start to deteriorate.

They replicate by runners, so you get little plantlets that pop up from under the substrate.

How high it grows depends on the conditions. Sag grows as little separate plants with leaves that emerge from a central point, not as separate leaves on a runner. So the more mature plants are usually taller.
