repto
anyone know the brand name of these or use them?apparently they fit on a hose and the venturii action of the water going in sucks up the sludge and pushs it out through another hose?Having problems with all the sludge etc becoming buoyant and floating to the top when the sun activates the algae etc to produce little bubbles that make it float up and form an unsightly scummy layer on top. Whiskas
i got one i think its called AquaPro Magic Pond sucker, cost around $25-$30. You will need to buy the PVC tubing as well. They work realy well!
jn
I used one too... but be careful if you have leaves or stones.. they can get clogged.. also mine came with a bit of clear discharge hose but it was useless.. it was the 'flat type' and kept getting stuff stuck in it. I needed a longer bit anyway so bought soem decent rounded stuff. I looking at stuffing something into the 'mouth' of it to act as a coasre filter so that pebbled and leaves don't get sucked up and stuck. Maybe a bit of plastic gutter guard type stuff.
