reef
Thought it might be a good idea to do a feature coral once a month. We can discuss how to keep them and show photos. Here is one photo of my goniopora, have had it for 12 months, Feed it mainly reef roids and reef solution. they need iron to survive. Goniopora tenuidens some info http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/ ... invert.htm http://www.goniopora.org/gallery/thumbn ... p?album=

Fmxmatt
John was telling me only a few people seem to have success with them as alot of them seem to die off without reason after 6 months to a year. Or am I thinking of something else which is similar?
reef
That would be the case. Some Goniopora species are harder than others to keep. Goniopora need iron and some sort of coral food. Some Goniopora are harder than others. In perspective more SPS corals would also die within 6 months and fish
jolliolli
How often do you feed it reef roids?
reef
Twice a week, also add the reef solution that contains iron and minerals. I try to use as many types of coral food so that they get a good variety. I think the most import pasrt is the iron , Most gonioporas do well in Miracle mud tanks which has very high iron in the sand.
