smidey
Has anyone seen this before? My Red Zeb kinda looks like she may be growing algae. She used to be totally "clean" but now has this dark green stuff on her. What is it?
ryanjury
What do you feed? I have heard that I primarily spirilina based diet can cause marks like this and have seen it in a few of my fish, from what ive found and seen it is completely harmless.. Either that or it is something genetic (like the black marks some yellow's get when they age) and it has just grown into it
Afrikan
Yeah I saw some import demasoni come in with that and also have seen zebs develop it too... and as Ryan says, seems harmless

Either that or it is something genetic (like the black marks some yellow's get when they age) and it has just grown into it i feed mostly JBL Novo Vert flake, JBL Novo rift pellets & bloodworms once a week. the jbl foods are high in crude protein but no other fish are developing the same markings
