nicmack
Does anyone have suggestions for algae eaters in a cichlid tank with electric yellows, melanchromis etc? iam trying to avoid getting a pleco as they get way to big? would a flying fox work? Cheers
evilknieval69
What kind(S) of algae? Bristlenose are good general algae eaters, and will be sweet in those sorts of tanks. Dont get as big as normal plecs too which is good
nicmack
its just for general algae the green type - do get the odd brown coloured stuff on the glass as well ...

ryanjury
Yeah cant beat the bristlenose I have them breeding in my african tank so they're obviously happy in there Others may work well as long as they're adjusted..
Afrikan
Hmmm yet recently I had all the bristles chewed off our big bristleboy, so it can still be a case of trial and error...
