I_am_Elmo
I've got a pair of convicts which are protecting their fry (as expected) and as a result, my pleco has taken some minor damage to his fins. I've moved my convicts and babies into another tank, are the pleco's fins likely to heal or are they damaged for good? (or bad as the case may be)
Ianab
I think you will be amazed how fast the plecos fins heal. Mine fight amongst themselves and get ripped fins occasionally, but they heal up again in a week or 2 Cheers Ian
ryanjury
They should heal themselves but if you notice white edges on the tears and them getting worse finrot may have set in... I usually catch the fish and stick meth blue directly on the wound someones once is enough to clear it up, sometimes several times..
I_am_Elmo
phew, at the moment they are clean, it looks as though the have been shredded, like torn down the grain so here's hoping......
