imsweet
Our new tank used to be a marine set up, What would be the best way to clean it for fresh-water use? And what to use? Also cleaning of the filter. Bearing in mind the sun wont be out for a few days  I think i have the cycling sussed, use the existing water, un-washed stones & filter. And add the tough little guppies that live in my tank at the moment.
Caryl
A good scrub out with salt and warm water  Just scrub the filter out thoroughly and it will be fine - unless it had disease problems. If you already have a tank set up then hang the filter on it for a few weeks to cycle. Easy.
