jamestothemax
will be cool to see it set up. I have a little an 18L that i have set up recently that has been changing aroudn lots lately but at the moment has: elite stingray 5 filter small elite heater 23W power saving bulb CO2 propagating sand and aqautic mix fish wise at the moment i have; 3 pygmy cory's 2 otto's 4 emerald eyes 3 ember tetras it all seems to be running sweet at the mo so id imagine your set up will run pretty similarly. Dixon1990
Anyone got any Small sword plants they could spare for this tank like Echinodorus tenellus or Lilaeopsis brasiliensis or other small plants like dwarf sag or hairgrass? Dixon1990
Heres a bad photo of the tank: The tanks still a bit cloudy :-?. At the moment Its running a elitemini filter that will most likely be made into a diy cannister filter and have another elite mini in my main tank that i will use in here. And it only has a few small plants and pieces of wood from other tanks around my house.I am also going to make a small mesh wall. I will be using liquid ferts and maybe some under gravel JBL balls. Dixon1990
Thanks to Caryl i now hav some dwarf sag. And the water is for some reason still dirty,Maybe i have to start again :-? Now, for fish i was thinking maybe 3-6 Cardinal Tetras and a few Corys or something similar. Would i be able to have a few panda corys, as io already have some of these? Or will they need a bigger tank?
Dixon1990
What size tank do Blue rams need? I have a pair and i thought they would look good in this tank, But i think its too small.Could i have my pair in here?
evilknieval69
Put it this way.... I had a pair of kribensis in a 200 x 300 x 300 tank (lxwxh) and they were breeding. Up to you, but if it was me, id probably put a pair of rams in there, but not much else....
Dixon1990
the exact size of the tank is 25cm x 25cm x 26cmhigh.
evilknieval69
Oh, i was thinking 21cm cube. nah yea, id say it would be sweet, but thats just me
Zev
Remember that Blue Rams like a mature tank, so don't even think about cycling with them. You still after some Star Grass?
evilknieval69
you still after some Star Grass? Zevs stargrass is the Shizzle!
Dixon1990
The filter i will be using to start with has been running in my main tank for about 2 weeks. but i still need to cycle right?
michael.qian
in that case just add in one or two fish and watch the ammonia levels, if it's constantly 0ppm then your tank is already cycled. also test for nitrite and nitrate. Dixon1990
I geuss i should get a test kit then
michael.qian
you don't have any at the moment?
evilknieval69
Take water out of the other tank (the one you are cycling the filter in) and dump it into the cube, then chuck the filter in, and you pretty much have a fully cycled tank.... Dixon1990
you don't have any at the moment? Nah i dont have one yet. Take water out of the other tank (the one you are cycling the filter in) and dump it into the cube, then chuck the filter in, and you pretty much have a fully cycled tank.... Cool, I will do this in the morning then.
