megs
Can you tell me why my plecco would be doing this, he kinda makes a webb out of it for the other fish to swim through. Can nearly be up to half a metre before it breaks off.

Ira
He's making poos because that's how animals work. Food in, poos out.
HummingBird
I think you'll find that if you feed a high(er) protein diet, his poos will be less unsightly.

megs
Ok more Protein can you tell me what sort of food that you would suggest??
HummingBird
JBL novotabs are good because they have some roughage too, but shrimp pellets etc would be fine too.
Ianab
Go easy on the meaty foods for plecos (well the common ones we have here in NZ anyway). They still need a mostly vege diet, plenty of bulk and some roughage. But SOME meaty food does them good. Mine get pleco tabs, fresh veges, some shrimp tablets and whatever else they can scavange that the other fish miss. Cheers Ian
