Nimbochromis venustus Giraffe

hi all, as some may already know I am having trouble with a giraffe that I suspect has had beating from the other giraffe. i have moved the injured giraffe into a small tank by itself.

the dominent giraffe is still in my main tank with the other africans. am i too optimistic having these giraffes with the other africans? (see sig for types) should i remove it before it does more damage to others (it now chaeses others as it no longer has a giraffe to chase)? when or if the injured giraffe gets better i guess i cannot realisticly re-introduce as it will get another beating.

at the moment it looks like 3-nil to getting rid of them, what do you think?

Most of the zebs can handle their own. Most fish ignore electric yellows{lucky them} Peacocks, well depends if a male wants to flare up.

Basically it comes down to the dominance of the fish concerned & if the others are small enough to be a food source. I have had to get rid of venustus out of set ups before as they became to much of a pain. Then re start with smaller ones.

Frenchy :D

i have swaped the giraffes, sick one into main tank & agressive one into 35L jail cell (notice how when the bad fish went into the 35L, the tank went from apartment to jail cell  ). will be finding another home for nasty giraffe!

Anyone need a lovely male giraffe to compliment their tank? :D
