fishtv
Hi all, My beautiful female guppy has popped and the fry are in a large bag floating in the main tank with an airline and floating plants. I am doing water changes daily with tank water. I want to get these guys up to size to add to my community tank but don't want to set up another tank (I don't have another filter?) will they be ok with this set up? Thanks all you guys who know! Ianab
Get one of those little fry nets that clip on the side of the tank. Much better as the tank water flows through, but the fry cant get eaten. A bunch of fry will be happy in there till they are big enough to handle the big wide world of the tank Cheers Ian
fishtv
oh yea thats a thought? I have two guppy breeders, the plastic ones that float in the tank if I split the fry into them will they be ok?
Ianab
Are they the ones that the fry fall out the bottom and the mother stays in the cage? Or the net ones that keep the fry in? If they are the net ones, fine. The water is the same as the rest of the tank, and a 6" long net is a big space to a 1/4" guppy. Float a plant or some moss in there and the fry will be happy. Caryl
As long as you don't have angels in the main tank. They can suck fry through netting
fishtv
We have 2 plastic ones that have the divider in them but we will take that out as the mother is now back in main tank. I have 2 angels so netting might not be a good idea?
