Dixon1990
Would black widow tetras be alright in my tank with neon tetras, BN, whiptails rams, guppies and loaches. And would they be alright with discus and BGK?Also would a few small angels be alright with these fish for a while? Loopy
They should be fine with each other
Ianab
Black widows should be fine, the Angels will probably cause you trouble after a while. Male guppy tails are just too tempting for them :-? Cheers Ian
Dixon1990
the angels will only be in there for a month or so if i get them.

Adrienne
I have read both on this forum and on others that the black widow tetras like to nip and are partial to guppies tails but have never kept them myself.
Dixon1990
only two of the guppies have big tails and they wont be together inthe tank for long.
Foxglove
hiya, I had black widows for a while - inherited a few in the work tank, then got more cos they should be in larger groups. I found them to be a right pain. I added neons, glowlights and much later, a pair of angels. The BW tetras bullied everything, and ate/ bit the smaller fish. They also picked on each other, to the point where some died. At that point removed them. Just my experience!
northland chic
I have a 4ft community tank and it has about 22 black widows, some glowlights, red eyed tetras, 1 angel, 2 gourami and a heap of bottom dwellers plus a breeding pair of Kribs and find they get along great. The big school of black widows looks awesome!
Haizel
In my experience Black Widows are the most boring fish I have ever kept, my 5 do nothing in a large spacious tank thriving with other fish. I want to get rid of them if anyone is interested.
Fishkeepa
Ive heard conflicting things about the compatability of angels and discus. If it is only short term it may be alright
