HaNs
Datnoids are so cool and grow slow. Im getting rid of my oscar and getting more than datnoid. Getting rid of pleco as im going planted. Hoplo's are really cool!
HummingBird
Yeah Hoplos are neat. I've got a 4x3x2ft tank that has an Oscar, a Datnoid and four Port Hoplos in it. The Hoplos are really active and even the Oscar doesn't mind them swimming over him now and then, almost like they're cleaning him.
evilknieval69
Yea hoplos rule! i have two in with my firemouths, uarus, bichir etc and they are soooo energetic. Always scooting up and down, round and round, playing round with each other and even playing with the bichir  I wanna get more!
sharn
Anything thats big enough to not be eaten and can stand up for itself should be fine as long as it suits the water conditions (ie no africans with them). I have an Oscar, Sev, Silver dollars, Plec, Bichir and Syno in my 460L and they all get on fine. Acaras, Dempsies, Firemouths, various Eels, some of the larger dithers (giant danios etc but they may become a snack eventually) and most bottom feeders that get a decent size should be fine- as long as your Oscar permits tank mates, not all do. jayci
Guppies would make good tank mates. Well for a few second anyway. At least your oscar would be happy.

sharn
Maybe for a bit, they might get eaten eventually though.
