smidey
I have found a source of rock work from a quarry locally which is near the Golden Bay Cement quarry. The stone has a high lime content, anyone know if this affect the fish in any way?

evilknieval69
Lime will just raise the pH probably, just like using limestone in your tank.... The new rock probably wont affect your tank at all though as the pH will already be high. Looks good BTW man!
ryanjury
Yeah man your tanks looking good Will only get better as the fish size and colour up more I have exactly the same types of rocks in my african tanks and haven't noticed any negative effects I dont measure water parameters unless something goes wrong so dont know what it did to the water but fish are happy and breeding.. Caryl
Limestone will raise the pH, which is what you want with those Africans. I had limestone in my tank for that reason.
