je_suis_ketan
Hey all, I've read and seen my clown loaches lying on their sides when they are just chillin out. But has anyone else seen their loaches hovering vertically, sometimes on the corner of the tank. I have 4 and I've seen all of them do this at some stage. All the fish look healthy but was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this behavior? To be honest it looks quite cute when they do it, a bit like a puppy standing up to get attention  Cheers.
markoshark
From what I can tell, provided they are not physically deformed, or have funny poops, blood in fins etc etc, anything clowns do, is normal clown loach behaviour. I have all of mine currently sitting on a log on their prectoral (I think,,,) fins, waiting for food.
je_suis_ketan
Yea, they look healthy to me. No whitespot or anything that would indicate that they aren't. Mine also sometimes sit on the log, lay on their sides and generally chase each other around the tank. They really are an interesting fish to watch for behavior. Chazza404
Ive got a school of 10 and they get up to all kinds of mischief, including hovering vertically or all trying to swim up this corner of the tank, i hand feed them as well and they shovel along the surface eating up flake so theyre not really shy
je_suis_ketan
hehe, yea mine swim up the corner of the tank too. Mine are a bit shy, but hopefully in time they will warm up to me. I can just imagine a CL swimming upside down to eat food off the surface of the water
