fievels007
My female Blue Ram has been unhappy for a while. On Tuesday she was very pale while I was away. I told Matt to give the fish some blood worms ands she came right, but today I am home and she looks very pale and blotchy in places there is usually no colour. We gave them some bloodworms and while she ate one her colour came back right away, but now she is pale again and the male chases her from time to time. Normally they get on perfectly, I've never seen her run away from him before. A week ago they laid eggs, but she ate them. While they were flirting she was brilliantly coloured, so I know what they are doing now is not mating! Help?!!!
The Great White Hand
Hi fievels This what happens with lots of female blue rams after they have spawned, from what I've seen (I have a breeding pair) and read this is completely normal. If the conditions are right they'll spawn every few weeks. Regards, TGWH
fievels007
Phew...! She looked so bright and colourful before, during and for a couple of days after spawning and now this! I guess it must have taken a lot out of her! Ta!

sharn
Probably a genetics things, rams arent known to be the hardiest fish anymore due to inbreeding etc.

fievels007
I have done a water change, all seems well in the tank, I know they do like their water to be clean! I do it weekly, but this week I had left it a couple of days extra... oops!
