Slightly Blue Dalmation
as animates is having a big sale this weekend and im thinking of setting up a 100Lish tank andy suggestions of what sort of eheim filter would best be suited and how much heating, lighting etc needed. was thinking of having a couple of angels and few schooling fish in a planted tank
Rozski
hehe, someone has been bitten by the bug Heaters are usually 1 watt - 1.5 watts per litre. I have a 300W instead of 200W heater going in my 180 litre tank as my flat gets chilly (and I found my 55 watt heater wasnt keeping up in a 35 litre tank last winter here!) Lighting depends on what you want to grow... Have fun  (If you want to splurge, remember the Aqua One tank setups are half price, and with that you get a tank, cabinet, lighting and filtration all in one)

michael.qian
I have a Eheim 2010, excellent filter does a very good job keep ing my nitrate at 0ppm, with the help of lots of plants. For 100L tank this filter will do the trick, getting an external might be a bit of a overkill.
michael.qian
This is the size of my tank by the way. The 2010 can filter up to 160L maximum.
