megs
I am new and think that it might be White spot as the growth is white around the edges. Look like its getting bigger by the hour. No other fish in the tank have nayhting like it on them yet. What do I do?? I do have a small tank that I could perhaps set up, I have salt, white spot cure, tonic that all came with my tank. I would take a picture but its too fast and just keep getting a blurr!!
michael.qian
quarantine it first definitely. watch the other fish closely as well, not an expert on treatments but that's what I would do first.
Caryl
White spot looks like the fish is sprinkled with salt. I can zip round tonight and have a quick look if you want. Did you get my email re the shark?
megs
Yeah I got your email thanks Carol will be around about 8:30am with Simon. Had a friend come around today and yes she has confirmed that it is white spot so I have just set up a little tank for treating him in. Heres hoping that no one else gets it. markoshark
uh-oh. If it is white spot, you will almost certainly need to treat your whole tank.
michael.qian
There's medication you can buy from a pet shop, I had to treat my tank a while ago, made my water very green, but will go away with water changes, and it seems to have killed the fungis. Caryl
If it is one spot that is growing and getting fluffy (which she said to me it was) then it isn't white spot. Never medicate your tank until you know what you are medicating it for!
