Foxglove
I lost a female angel fish today. When I got to work ( she's in a work tank) she was head down in the corner, obviously dead. No marks on her, but a little reddish behind one eye. Her mate is a large black and orange stripe but with a bent fin. Now I'm wondering if I can/should replace the female and if so, do I have to get another large fish? Could I put more than one in? The residents at work really like seeing the angels. The tank is a three foot bow front (someone said 200l but that seems a lot to me) Other tank mates are a few glowlights, neons and four corys. The tetras are going soon, will be replaced by more visible platys.

Foxglove
thank you!! I would love some - but would they cope with the lone male? I don't want breeding, just visual impact!

Caryl
I would be concerned the big male would attack any newcomers. This will depend on individual fish though and yours might be placid.
Foxglove
Yes I was worried about this too - he is a bit of a bully and was very territorial with his mate. They spawned many times, but the fry didn't make it past a few days - in the community tank in a main walkway. The other fish were confined to one quarter of the tank. But great news!! :bounce: :bounce: Mystic has offered to give him a good home and so the new angel youngsters will be safe. Yay. Thanks to all.
