Rockerpeller
HaNs : I was going to go a similar design. Post up a thread about your progress thru the build up. Should be a really good read and help a few people out that use the same types of lights. Rozski : Found the meaning of ballast on wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_ballast
Rozski
Yeah, I must be seriously spacing, I know 2 endcaps per bulb, but I had the idea stuck in my head of the single bulbs that double back on themselves, so only have 1 "plug" end *duh* Thanks for the ballast link! and all the help from everyone Especially the DIY setup, never even saw that on petplanet or realised what it was Why is it not good for the ballast to be in under the hood with the bulbs? I expect it gets too hot?
Rockerpeller
condensation. Altho i'm not sure about the GLO products. Condensation will reek havoc with electricals. havin it mounted in the stand or the back of the hood will tidy the inside hood up a bit anyway so you have fit more T5s later on. Rozski
Grrr, petplanet website is down again. Just wanted to ask though, they sell the DIY kit made for 2 x 34 watt bulbs, but only sell 38 watt bulbs? How the heck is that supposed to work?
