tukituki
hi, i have several bristlenose in my community tank, one of the larger ones who've had the longest (a few months now) is going a bit light in colour, as if she might have a kind of growth on her? mainly around her head area and along her back. is this bad? what should i do? all the other bristlenoses seem fine as do all of the other fish in the tank. thanks. Ianab
Plecos do tend to change colour depending on their mood, mine look very faded some days, then back to dark the next. Check that her belly is still well rounded and she is eating. If there are no other signs of illness I wouldn't worry Cheers Ian
tukituki
thanks Ian. yeah she seems healthy enough, all my fish seem very well which is good. some days its brighter than others this lightness, she is eating and i'll keep an eye out for her belly, not where she's hiding right now. bdspider
Mine are the same. One of them has strange lighter patches over it's body, I'd think it was a fungi if I didn't know better. It seems healthy. An enthusiastic eater etc.
