fievels007
Its is getting power to it because i can feel it vibrating a little, its just not sucking anything in! Its a 60l Juwel aquarium that came with everything, just a small filter system
fievels007
It has started again! The second time I pulled it out I tried to take the outer casing off, it spluttered a couple of times and started again! Man, that scared me!! Does anyone ever keep a spare filter system just in case that happens for real?
jolliolli
Hi Fievels, The exact same thing happened to me last night when i turned off my filter to change the filter wool. I couldn't get it to start and like you could feel it getting power as it was vibrating. In the end i found that the impeller had become clogged (only very lightly but enough to prevent it from starting. Cleaned out the impellerand it started back up again and has been fine ever since. Try cleaning your impeller out and it should be fine
jolliolli
PS mine is an internal juwel filter system too
Adrienne
My fluval (internal) used to stick everytime I turned it off. Just a quick flick of the impellor would remove anything stuck in it and hey presto! if was away again.
smidey
do you remove the propeller & scrub the slime out of it? they get clogged between the magnetic shaft & casing so that needs to be ckeaned more than likely.
