djay Posted June 8, 2007 Report Share Posted June 8, 2007 Hi I have live bearers sort of flicking themselves against leaves and ornaments. can this be fixed with waterchange 1 tblsp Tonic salt and slowly raising temp 3 or 4 degrees more. Check the skin of the fish with a torch at night in the dark and see if they look like they have been coated with salt or pepper. Pepper is velvet and salt is white spot. Could just be the start of white spot, which is possible with the colder weather. The water change, salt & raise temp is a good start. Make sure you have plenty of airation too.
