Adrienne
Have a read through some internet sites - www.bcbetta.com www.bettatalk You need multiple tanks as 1. you can't keep a male in with a female for too long as the male harasses the female 2. you have to remove the female first and then the male after they spawn 3. you need to be prepared for the fact that there may be as many as 500 fry to raise. I have had a couple of spawns in the 300+ which equates to a lot of tank space as by the time the males are a couple to three months old they need to be kept seperate from each other. Make sure you are well equipped before you start with everything you need as fry only take 24-36 hrs to hatch and its too late to start preparing food for them after the eggs are laid.
