Dixon1990
How long does it take for a Bristlenose to get to full size? And how old/big do they have to be to breed? Thanks
Caryl
Depends on the size of the tank, the stocking levels, and how much they have to eat. They will breed at about 5cm I think.
carla
The book says that the boys need to be 18months before they get interested in inviting ladies into their caves. Girls are interested and able much earlier. I have some quite old ones that I got as a breeding pair and they are much smaller than some of their offspring which grew up with abundant food in a big tank. These are over 20cm now while their father is maybe 15cm.

HummingBird
It really depends on the quality of nutrition that the fish gets when it's younger. I've seen males and females that are between 15-20cm, in fact there are a few at Jansens botany in the display tank (they're GBA's, same thing though).
