Dixon1990
We are moving the fish around at the moment setting up and asian tank so i am removing the barbs, rasboras and loaches from my tank. So i would like to get some more fishies for my 60l tank. I am currently running a small 60L tank with a 500L/Hr Aqua One Internal filter at around 27Degrees.This is what i would like to be in it,(or something like this). And would like to know if you think this sounds like it will be a little overstocked. 1 Pair of Dwarf Gourami 2 or 3 Small Discus (They will definately only be in there until they get a little bigger like 6 or 7 cm, They will then be moved into a larger tank) A small school of neon tetras 2 Bristlenose Catfish 3 Kuhli loaches And maybe a pair of dwarf Cichlids of some sort. Thanks
smidey
i havn't had discus but i have read several times that their growth can be stunted when they are young if they are in small heavily stocked tanks. other than that i dont think it will be too bad, you have plenty of filtration & it will certainly be a busy tank to watch. yarimochi
way to small for discus I think!?! I keep three small ones and the absolute minimum volume is AT LEAST 100l. But I'm sure your not an amateur. just make sure you watch their growth rates and move them to the larger tank asap.
Discusguru
a 60 ltrs tank is probably only good for you school of tetras or just your 2-3 baby discus (they should be kept in a group of 6 or greater) by themselve.
sharn
Ill second what DG said, discus dont make for happy chappies when they are in groups of less than 5 IME, they just bicker all the time If you drop them your stocking sounds ok IMO
