FISH LUVA
My two blue turquoise discus managed to breed and babies survived so i moved parents out of babies tank and put them into a 70L tank ,bare bottom, with corner box filter and ever since i moved them they have been scared of me and staying in the corner. Can you guys help me to reduce their stress and tell me what im doing wrong Zac
OutOfAfrica
Never move the parents - only the little guys ( and not too early either ). Discus can be very tempremental creatures. Good luck. OOA.
sharn
If they were previously in a tank with decor and substrate that could be the reason, a totally foreign enviroment. Also discus can take a while to settle in, some will only take a few hours but some may take weeks. If you dont want to keep them in there permanently i personally would probably move the parents back to where they were, always better to lose the babies than lose the parents if you keep moving them around.
