smidey
Those experienced in importing, what $, time & hoops to jump through to bring fish into NZ?
alanmin4304
You need a designated fish house that is listed in the gazette and approved by Maf and you will need to know how to cure diseases that you don't normally see in the shops because they have been treated in quarantine. You will need a good sense of humour in dealing with Maf and lots of moola.
smidey
does that mean that if i imported through a designated fish house they would not go through quarantine?
alanmin4304
They will have to be quarantined regardless
AMAZONIAN
If you want to start importing you had better be prepared to stump up at least $10,000.00 to meet the importing criteria of MAF and ERMA. PLUS you will need the patience of Jobe and the humour of a circus clown, and the ability to understand MAF speak, which is just really double talk to confuse you.. FIG JAM  Been there and done it and even have the grey hairs to prove it.
