GZ_Loach
yes, if it wasnt fish then the bubbles would be alot bigger and pop every few seconds
Bluetom
what fish do you have in your tank? Looks like bubble nest to me, but having only had a handful in my tanks could be mistaken. If your keen to get what ever it is breeding, you can get them to create a larger bubble nest that stays together by place a thin piece of polystyrene on the wsurface by the bubbles. Adrienne
Male gouramis do blow blubble nests like fighters for spawning in. Usually the only time a male and a single female fighter is together is when you are wanting to breed so its probably the male blowing the nest. If you are intending to breed you need to get the gouramies out and wait and see if anything happens. If you don't they will eat the eggs. If you're not prepared for possibly hundreds of youngsters and lots of work and tanks don't let them spawn. Get at least one more female so the male doesn't stress the single female out. Andrew_W
I'm not setting out to breed them, if any survive then good on them, how long do I have to get another female. At the moment he is still ignoring her.
Bluetom
If he starts going for her and she isn't interested you'll have trouble. until then they may be ok
