smidey
Hi all, I have just fed my community tank & noticed that my large female angel has bloated eyes. What do I do?
jayci
Pop-eye (exophthalmus) Normally caused by poor water quality. Correct water qaulity/chemistry. Recovery may take several days.
Adrienne
If its one eye its probably injured it some way, if its both its more like to be bacterial (possibly water quality). I don't have angel fish so not sure what to recommend for it other than water changes.
me love fishy
I would check your water parameters, give a decent water change of 30-40%, whether you find anything out of wack after checking the water or not and add melafix to the water using the dosage as per the instructions on the bottle. I had a siamese fighter with one "pop" eye, which could have been from injury, not sure, and he survived after doing the above.
sharn
A dose of epsom salts at 1tbsp per 40L will help releive and fluid buildup and hopefully help releive pressure. I treated an apisto with popeye with furan once, i may have been able to clear it up with w/c's and epsom salt but i didnt want to risk the wait.
