Gannet
ok so my aquris 2400 canister filter has been on for about 20+ hours now and still has air locks in it... i shake it around and around and around and heaps of air comes out. there was a little bit of air coming out by it self about once every few mins but in the last hours they have got more and more frequent and now are about 10 p/min any ideas on how to get rid of the air? SpidersWeb
Sounds like you have an air leak on the inlet line, possibly at the tap. Turn off the filter and see if any tiny droplets appear. Filter just can't hold enough air to do that for 20+ hours, and if its getting stronger then its collecting new air. Lots of people lately have been seeming to have problems with AquaOne taps. Cheap part to replace if that is the problem though.

Gannet
ok so i have 2 of these filters... i swaped them over late yesterday afternoon... using the same pipes and conectors, and there was NO air being sucked... but for some reason it was more noise on he one that didnt suck so i swaped bak... (there is no fish, im just trying to kick start my sump) after i swaped it bak it didnt suc any air for about 3 hours an now i can hear it sucking away at a very high rate again
Adrienne
I think air must be getting in from somewhere - I know you said you had no taps but maybe a minute split or hole somewhere. I had trouble a few weeks ago with my new cf1200, but it was a tap. I must admit occassionally now it still has a small airlock -but very rare.
