michael.qian Posted March 6, 2007 Report Share Posted March 6, 2007 Hi I've noticed that my cabomba are always getting uprooted because the part I bury in the gravel keeps on dissolving. First I thought it was the filter flow too strong or my goldfish and white clouds are causing it but it seems to be the roots melting away causing the plant to come up. Do they lack any nutrients? They've been doing while up until recently when this started happening. Plantman Posted March 7, 2007 Report Share Posted March 7, 2007 Malayan trumpet snails will be everyone worst night mare because they multiple very fast. do you have root fertliser or liquid fertliser in your tank? is you light strong enough or are your tank located near to the window? michael.qian Posted March 7, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2007 I use those JBL ball thingys, have quite a bit of them buried in the gravel. Occasionally I add in some liquid fertiliser. My light is only 20W flurorescent though that might not be strong enough. If I add another 15W UV light and have them on at the same time would it be better?
