fishtv
Hey just a quick question, After treating the tank with tonic, white spot cure etc I know you are suppose to do a water change but how much? Some people say 10% some people say 25% some say 50%? What do you guys think?
alanmin4304
It depends on what you are treating. If it is tonic medication you mean it contains a number of treatments for various ailments. If you are treating something that may end up in the gravel then cleaning the gravelis a good idea. Otherwise I just do the normal water changes. Alan
Also it is a good idea to have a small box filter handy. Fill it with carbon and leave it in for a week, working. That'll remove the medication from the water. That is the reason the carbon filters are turned off while treating a tank.
fishtv
could the white spot treatment be making the tank inactive? They only had a very small case of it so I figured it was the medication??
