sharn
MTS= multiple tank syndrome  BTS= big tank syndrome im no african expert but i beleive the synos can go in with africans, i dont think the geos can though- they prefer the acidic waters like discus i believe. dude
haha i think iv nearly got bts i really want one so bad now lol acidic is more towards 6 on the ph chart isnt it i was told by jensens to kep my tank at 7-8 so i keep my tank at about 7.5-8 is this ok and i was told that malawi fish prefer water at 8 so would i stress me geo out if i put the ph up to 8 or 8.5 with crushed coral and dried coral pieces
sharn
yes, acidic is the lower end of the ph scale. i dont think your geo will be too happy in an african tank, they also have different ways of going about things territory and aggression wise. i dont keep africans so im not too sure what the different species prefer, most keepers keep them around 8 i think. Afrikan
I would just stick with Africans in the higher Ph range... about 8.2 would be fine and dandy... but keep your Geo in acidic conditions...
