chickiejo Posted February 15, 2007 Report Share Posted February 15, 2007 I would just like to know i was reading on another thread that cichlids prefer sand eg: river sand, my question is when i get the sand do i need to rinse it and do i put it on top of gravel or do i have to take the gravel out, ive got anoyed with my set up so i had rearanged yet again but having trouble getting pics up.... any advice apreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Depending on the cichlid the lake itself, varies from sand, to fine gravel, to coarse gravel. It is more a case of what tickles your fancy.
