Matthew
I would like to breed the yellow snakeskin guppie, unfortunately my one died before being placed with the females. If anyone has one male (or more) and is willing to part with him I would appreciate it. Peter McLeod
I have been breeding snakeskins for a few generations and have been attempting to fix a yellow cordal with no red.Yellow and red are a dangerous mix when breeding or so I have found. Probably better if your in Rotorua some time for you to come pick your own as I may send you something you don't want.Being a new strain they are a bit open to not being not as fixed as I would like.At least you will be able to get some females off me as well that are related. Alan
Hi Peter, I've got several batches of babies coming on from your yellow strain, BUT, my male has gone to the big aquarium in the sky. So, soon I'm going to have a lot of viable virgins. Any show of picking up another male from you please, he'll have the time of his life here. Guaranteed. I got mine from you when Waikato visited you, I think you'll remeber me. How could you forget? Alan
Peter McLeod
Glad your having success Come over anytime. I have split my H/B yellows into two different lines now, grey and gold body. Now I have the space I can use the more stable lines to work on new strains if I see a nice male. Have noticed some of the H/B blues have purple colour and have set a couple of tanks up for them also. Don't think the garage will be big enough!! Alan
I warned u Peter How are you getting on at setting out the garage? I haven't been able to use my garage for SOOOOOOO long. Can't remember when. So I built a carport after years, of parking the vehicle in the weather. MMMMMMMM may be able to keep goldfish in the carport. Alan. PS I have got one light S/S and one dark, and I'm keeping the two lots separate. Oh no!, what have I started. Al
Matthew
Alan, I am happy if you are willing to take your choice of fish for me. (this time of the year I don't think I could make a trip to visit). I am not overly concerned what it looks like (ie extra colours) as I am trying to learn a little about guppy genetics by practice. If you are willing let me know and I will PM you my details. Matt
Matthew
Apologies Peter and Alan. I mixed the names up and asked the wrong person for the fish. Alan if you are happy to supply that is great, otherwise I will liase with Peter. Regards Matt
Alan
I was wondering about that Matt. I've re-read what I had posted etc, but couldn't see what gave you that idea. Had some more leopard fish appear today. Kewl Alan
