newbiechris
I have an aiptasia outbreak and would like to get a fish or shrimp to keep on top of it. I know that the copperband butterfly fish is good at this and was wondering what other fish enjoy it as well? I heard that the foxface rabbit fish does as well but cannot find any info to back this up? What are other people using (other than a syringe)? Cheers Chris
JDM
honestly, my method is joes juice. work perfectly for me. don't buy a fish to control pests, buy it only if it will do well in your system. copper bands are very hard to keep. great fish that with time an knowledge you can keep for long periods, but this involves teaching them to feed in a tank environment. also there not a sure bet for aiptasia control. this is coming from someone who has lost 2 copperbands. i will try again, next time i will spend more time teaching them to feed. suphew
I have a racoon butterfly that cleaned up most of my tank in a couple of days. I have just spotted a couple hard to get to ones that it has missed, once these are gone its going for a holiday in pies tank, than maybe another large tank in Wlg. By that time I should have a nice crop back again! I only down side is I have had to remove my hammer and frogspawn which he was picking at
