HandS Posted January 14, 2007 Report Share Posted January 14, 2007 Pretty much as the title says, are the Apistos that AMAZONIAN is selling, and have turned up in a few shops wild caught. Afrikan Posted January 14, 2007 Report Share Posted January 14, 2007 Apparently the whole consignment that came in were wild caught, the Cats, Apistos, Cories, Tetras etc.. the supplier had a whole seperate list labelled "Direct from the Wild".. so yeah good question... AMAZONIAN Posted January 22, 2007 Report Share Posted January 22, 2007 Hi All, It is up to the "Wholesaler" whose integrity is at stake to honestly publish the origin of ANY SPECIES he / her, them / they are selling. It is questionable as to the origin of "MY ALTUM ANGEL'S". I have to take the word of the store where I brought them and they have to believe their "Wholesaler". I am encouraged by the integrity of "ORGANISM in CHCH where I brought my pair, as they are standing firm on them being "WILD CAUGHT IMPORTS". The ones I am selling are the first tank bred Altums that have become available as far as I know, and to say they are magnificent is an understatement. As for the Apisto's, they were brought into New Zealand by "HIGHWAY FISHERIES" from Germany. I believe they came from "GLASER AQUARIUMS", but I could be wrong there, and whether they are wild caught or tank bred I have no idea.
